H-Ser-Ser-OH is a phospholipid molecule that has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of endothelial cells. H-Ser-Ser-OH has also been shown to have antiinflammatory and immunosuppressive properties. This molecule has been shown to be effective in the diagnosis of cervical cancer, as well as in the diagnosis of autoimmune diseases. It can also be used as a growth factor to combat microbial infections, such as HIV and tuberculosis. H-Ser-Ser-OH binds to basic proteins found in mammalian cell membranes and inhibits their function by neutralizing them. These interactions are believed to be responsible for its antiinflammatory effects on endothelial cells.
