Ser140-Myelin Proteolipid Protein (139-151) is an experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) adjuvant that is used to induce EAE in animals. The peptide has been shown to be mononuclear, encephalitogenic, and capable of inducing cell proliferation. Ser140-Myelin Proteolipid Protein (139-151) has been shown to induce EAE when injected into the animals with a pre-existing immunity to myelin basic protein. Ser140-Myelin Proteolipid Protein (139-151) is also mannosylated and can be used as an experimental adjuvant for immunization.
