Description:
Somatostatin 25 is a peptide hormone that belongs to the group of hormones. It has been shown to have physiological effects on carbohydrate metabolism, lipid metabolism, and protein synthesis. Somatostatin 25 is also a reversible covalent drug substance that can be conjugated with drugs or diagnostic agents. This drug has been used in immunocytochemical assays for the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer and as a linker for immunofluorescence. In addition, somatostatin 25 has been used as an electron microscopic probe for the identification of granules in cells.
