3-(Di-tert-butylphosphonium)propane sulfonate is a cross-coupling reagent used in palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions. It is a white solid that can be used as a phosphine ligand in the Suzuki reaction and other cross-coupling reactions. 3-(Di-tert-butylphosphonium)propane sulfonate is soluble in organic solvents, but insoluble in water. This reagent has been shown to be an effective catalyst for the coupling of 4-chloroanisole with aryl bromides to form 2,4 dinitrophenols.
