H-Tyr-Ile-OH is a synthetic amino acid analogue that inhibits the activity of certain enzymes by tautomerization. The major product of H-Tyr-Ile-OH is Tyr, which is also found in mammalian cells and pharmaceutical preparations. This compound has been shown to inhibit disease activity in animal models. H-Tyr-Ile-OH has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of the inflammatory response, with an IC50 value of 0.03 μM. It has also been shown to have an inhibitory effect on cancer and depression, as well as fibrillatory effects on heart cells in culture.
