2-Thiazolesulfonylchloride hydrochloride is a molecule that has been optimized for interaction with b-Raf. 2-Thiazolesulfonylchloride hydrochloride was found to have selectivity for the mutant conformation of b-Raf and was more potent than the corresponding wild type. This compound also inhibited the activity of cytochrome p450 enzymes in tissues such as liver, kidney, and brain. The biochemical mechanism of action for this drug is not known, but it has been shown to be selective for tissues that express high levels of b-Raf.
