Titanium sulfate is a chemical compound with the formula TiOSO4. It is an acidic salt that reacts with water to form hydrogen sulfide and titanium dioxide. Titanium(III) sulfate solution is used as a sealant in the building industry, where it reacts with atmospheric carbon dioxide to form a layer of titanium dioxide on exposed surfaces. Titanium(III) sulfate solution is also used in plasma mass spectrometry, photocatalytic activity and surface methodology. The reaction rate of titanium(III) sulfate solution can be studied by measuring the change in its pH after adding sodium nitrate and deionized water.
