Titanium dichloride (TiCl2) is a chemical compound that has a particle shape. It is made up of titanium and chlorine atoms. Titanium dichloride exists as an ionic solid with a melting point of -1 °C and boiling point of 183 °C. This substance is soluble in water, alcohols, benzene, ether, and chloroform. Titanium dichloride is used to produce TiO2 nanoparticles by thermal decomposition at high temperatures. It can be used to produce TiO2 nanoparticles with diameters less than 2 nm. The reaction mechanism for this substance is not yet well-understood but it may consist of hydroxyl group transfer reactions and transport properties due to its high values. Titanium dichloride has been shown to react with carbonyl groups in the presence of intramolecular hydrogen gas to form a stable hydridic carbonate compound that has a high structural analysis value.br>br>
