4'-(4,4,5,5-Tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolaN-2-yl)acetaNilide is a control agent that inhibits the enzyme acetylcholinesterase (AChE). It has been found to have an optimal potency of 50% inhibition of AChE at a concentration of 0.8 μM. 4'-(4,4,5,5-Tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolaN-2-yl)acetaNilide is metabolized by hepatic enzymes and has been shown to be stable in mammalian tissues for up to 24 hours. This compound is used as an insecticide and rodenticide in pest control.
