Product Information
Uncarine D is a lipoprotein lipase inhibitor that is used to treat skin cancer. It has been shown to inhibit the formation of fatty acids, which are the building blocks of lipid-containing molecules in cells. Uncarine D also inhibits locomotor activity and root formation in plants, by inhibiting the synthesis of certain chemical substances. This compound has been shown to inhibit tumorigenesis in animal models, but its exact mechanism of action is unknown. Uncarine D is structurally similar to oxindole and monoterpenoid indole alkaloids, which have been shown to have anticancer effects.
