Xenopsin is a monoclonal antibody that binds to the xenopsin receptor molecule and blocks its activity. Xenopsin is an antimicrobial peptide that can be used to treat a number of bacterial infections. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria in the presence of fatty acids and has also been shown to reduce locomotor activity, which may be due to its effects on cortisol concentration or other physiological effects.
