Product Information

Name:
N-SMase Inhibitor, GW4869
Synonyms:
  • Gw4869
  • GW 4869 (hydrochloride hydrate)
  • Hydrochloride Hydrate
Description:

GW4869 is a small molecule inhibitor of N-SMase, a proton pump that regulates the intracellular pH. GW4869 has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells by binding to and inhibiting the activity of N-SMase. It also inhibits inflammation in bowel disease by reducing exosome production and preventing toll-like receptor activation. GW4869 exhibits biochemical properties such as polymerase chain reaction inhibition, DNA binding activity, and protein synthesis inhibition. In vitro assays have shown its ability to bind to dna and gw4869 has been shown to reduce leukemia cell viability in mice with bone marrow transplants.
