Product Information
Solketal methacrylate is a reactive monomer that is used as a binder in ceramic coatings. It reacts with hydroxy groups on the surface of ceramics to form an adhesive film. Solketal methacrylate can also be used as a cross-linker in polymerization reactions. This monomer has been shown to bind to membranes and to have fluorescent properties, which make it useful as a fluorescence probe or cross-linking agent. It also acts as a titration calorimetry and microscopy aid, because solketal methacrylate absorbs infrared radiation at 2550 cm−1.
