Description

Benzyl (2S)-2-amino-5-(N'-nitrocarbamimidamido)pentanoate is a synthetic drug that has been shown to have clinical efficacy in autoimmune diseases. It is an inhibitor of the bradykinin B2 receptor, which blocks the synthesis and release of inflammatory mediators such as IL-17A. Benzyl (2S)-2-amino-5-(N'-nitrocarbamimidamido)pentanoate also inhibits acetylcholine uptake into cells by binding to acetylcholine receptors on the cell membrane. This drug binds to dna and exerts an inhibitory effect on cancer growth and may be useful for treating some types of cancer.
