Product Information

Name:
Bombinakinin M tifluoroacetic acid
Description:

Bombinakinin M tifluoroacetic acid is an analog of bombinakinin, a peptide hormone that binds to the bradykinin B2 receptor. It has been shown to cause a significant increase in blood pressure in humans and also to bind to the human serum amide receptor. Bombinakinin M tifluoroacetic acid is a potent inhibitor of the enzyme amp-activated protein kinase (AMPK), which regulates cellular energy metabolism. This analog has been shown to inhibit the activity of this enzyme with an IC50 of 0.6 μM. Bombinakinin M tifluoroacetic acid has also been shown to have potential as a tumor suppressor and may be useful for treating cancer, as it inhibits cell growth by inhibiting protein synthesis.
