CW 008 is a pharmaceutical compound that has shown to be an inhibitor of cancer stem cells and their ability to induce apoptosis. It also prevents autophagy, which is a process of self-eating that cancer cells use to survive. CW 008 has been shown to inhibit activin, which are proteins that are known for their teratogenic effects on the ovary and other tissues.
