Product Information
Ammoniumiron(II)sulfate is a polymerized linear polymer that has been shown to be an effective polymerization inhibitor. Ammoniumiron(II)sulfate has been found to interact with the monomers of polymers, preventing them from linking together to form polymers. This interaction is reversible and can be reversed by adding hydrochloric acid or radiation. Ammoniumiron(II)sulfate has a redox potential of +0.01 V and can be used as an analytical chemistry reagent for determining the presence of functional groups in compounds such as acrylonitrile and vinyl alcohol. Ammoniumiron(II)sulfate copolymerizes with other monomers, such as styrene and acrylonitrile, to produce a variety of polymers with different properties.
