Product Information
Barium phosphate is a chemical compound that has been used in the past to enhance the contrast of X-rays. It is usually used in conjunction with sodium carbonate and plasma mass spectrometry. Barium phosphate can be prepared by mixing barium hydroxide with phosphoric acid and heating the mixture to produce white crystals. The substance has a high chemical stability, but its solubility in water decreases as temperature increases. Its optimum concentration is between 0.02% and 0.04%. This substance shows kinetic data for hydrochloric acid and magnetic resonance spectroscopy, which are both related to its red fluorescent properties, making it an excellent substance for optical detection. Barium phosphate also has a thermal expansion of about 3 x 10^-4 per degree Celsius, which can be measured using nitrogen atoms or electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. Barium phosphate also absorbs ultraviolet light (UV) radiation at wavelengths below 400 nm, so it can be detected using UV absorption spectroscopy.
