Product Information
Name:Boc-1-methyl-DL-tryptophan
Controlled Product
Brand:Biosynth
Description:Boc-1-methyl-DL-tryptophan is a synthetic amino acid that is activated by the addition of an amine. The amidation reaction can be catalyzed by a number of alcohols and esters, including benzyl alcohol, benzyl chloride, methyl trifluoroacetate, and ethyl acetate. Boc-1-methyl-DL-tryptophan has been shown to catalyze the formation of unactivated xanthates from acetic acid or benzoic acid in the presence of sodium bicarbonate.
