Product Information
12-Molybdosilicic acid hydrate is an inorganic compound that can be used as a catalyst for organic reactions. It is an ionic form of molybdenum oxide and can be prepared by dissolving molybdic acid in dilute sulfuric acid. 12-Molybdosilicic acid hydrate has been shown to have biomimetic properties, which may be due to its ability to form complexes with phosphotungstic acid and carbon nanotubes, and has been used as a catalyst in the synthesis of fatty acids. 12-Molybdosilicic acid hydrate also reacts with zirconium oxide to produce low energy, which may be useful for chemical vapor deposition of thin films of zirconium oxide.
