Description:

Aristolactam F1 is a quinolone antibiotic that inhibits the growth of bacteria by inhibiting the activity of DNA gyrase. This drug has been shown to have a significant cytotoxic effect against human cancer cells and also inhibits cholesterol synthesis in animal models. Aristolactam F1 is used as an antifungal agent and an antiprotozoal agent. It has been shown to inhibit progesterone receptor-mediated signaling pathways, which may be due to its ability to form hydrogen bonds with quercitrin, a natural inhibitor of progesterone receptor.
