Description:
Methyl 2,3,6-tri-O-benzyl-a-D-glucopyranoside is a reductive amine that can be used as an inhibitor of enzymes. The compound has been shown to inhibit the enzyme formate dehydrogenase. In addition, it has been found to inhibit other enzymes such as primary amines and reductive amination. Methyl 2,3,6-tri-O-benzyl-a-D-glucopyranoside is also a potential inhibitor of coupling reactions and anti HIV activity.
