Angoroside C is a natural product that inhibits apoptosis and is an inhibitor of p-hydroxybenzoic acid. It has been shown to have inhibitory properties against HIV infection in vitro and in vivo. Angoroside C may also have a matrix effect on the heart, as it has been shown to reduce the incidence of congestive heart failure in rats. This compound has been tested for pharmacokinetic properties and was found to be reactive with water. The analytical method used was high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
