b-Cyclodextrin hydrogen sulfate, sodium salt (BCDH) is a reaction solution that is used in the treatment of infectious diseases. It was shown to have anti-inflammatory properties through its ability to inhibit IL-2 receptor binding and epidermal growth factor receptor binding, as well as its effects on balloon injury and human serum. BCDH has been shown to be an inhibitor of basic fibroblast growth factor, which may play a role in the treatment of autoimmune diseases. BCDH also has been shown to have cytotoxic effects against carcinoma cell lines.
