Thulium(III) acetylacetonate is a solid, crystalline compound that has a melting point of 217°C. It is stable in the presence of light and air, but decomposes at temperatures over 400°C. Thulium(III) acetylacetonate can be used as a catalyst for organic reactions, such as the conversion of anthracene to phenanthrene. The vapor pressure of thulium(III) acetylacetonate is 1.1 x 10-2 torr at 25°C and 0.0005 torr at 300°C.
