Description:2'-Deoxy-5'-DMT-5-(benzylcarbamoyl)uridine 3'-CE phosphoramidite is a novel nucleoside analog that has antiviral activity. It is synthesized by reacting 5-benzylcarbamoyl uridine with 2,4,6-trichlorobenzoyl chloride and ethyl chloroformate to produce the 5-(benzylcarbamoyl) derivative. This product can be used for the synthesis of oligonucleotides. It is also an anticancer agent and has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells in vitro by inhibiting ribonucleotide reductase and DNA polymerase.
