Product Information
3-Butyryl-4-(2-methylphenylamino)-8-methoxyquinoline is an inhibitor of voltage-dependent calcium channels. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of p-hydroxybenzoic acid, which is a cell factor that regulates calcium levels in cells. 3-Butyryl-4-(2-methylphenylamino)-8-methoxyquinoline has been used in clinical pathology as an energy metabolism regulator and for the treatment of congestive heart failure by inhibiting voltage dependent calcium channels. This drug has also shown a protective effect on cancer tissues and some physiological effects, such as a reduction in hippocampal formation and pathogenic mechanism. The drug decreases mitochondrial membrane potential by interfering with the function of voltage dependent calcium channels, reducing ATP production and causing cell death.
