Description:
Timosaponin A1 is a saponin extract from the Chinese herb, Polygonum multiflorum. It has potent inhibitory activity against sample preparation and analytical methods. Timosaponin A1 has shown to have a strong inhibitory effect on glycogen synthase kinase-3 and tnf-α, both of which are involved in inflammatory pathways. Timosaponin A1 also inhibits the activity of Cox-2 by binding to its active site. This inhibition leads to anti-inflammatory effects in animal models.
