Product Information
(3aS)-1-(3-Aminophenyl)-3a-hydroxy-6-methyl-2,3-dihydropyrrolo[2,3-b]quinolin-4-one is a fluorescent small molecule inhibitor of the ATPase activity of myosin. The compound was optimized by synthesizing multiple analogues to increase water solubility and reduce photolability. This optimization was achieved by modifying the structure at the 3’ position of the pyrrolopyridine ring. The compound exhibits low water solubility and is therefore not suitable for in vivo applications. However, it has been shown to be effective in vitro against myosin II with an IC50 of 0.07 μM. Research on this compound has also focused on developing readouts for its use as a fluorescent probe in living cells.
