Applications N2-Benzyloxycarbonyl-L-ornithine is a versatile building block used it various syntheses. It is used as a reactant in the preparation of dipeptide-bound thiadiazoles as irreversible inhibitors of guinea pig liver transglutaminase. Also used in the synthesis of azasterols as anti-parasitic agents.
