Description:

Applications (2S,3R)--Hydroxyleucine is a nonprotein amino acid. (2S,3R)--Hydroxyleucineis an inhibitor of serine protease. In particular, (2S,3R)--Hydroxyleucine was effective in inhibiting trypsin and proteinase K of the serine proteases group. (2S,3R)--Hydroxyleucine is able to inhibit the growth of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria and yeasts unlike its (2R,3S)-isomer.
