Applications 5-(1-Hydroxy-2-chloroethyl)-4-methylthiazole Hydrochloride is derived from 4-Methyl-5-vinylthiazole (M338530), which is found in flowers and is highly attractive to both male and female beetles of three species of the genus Cyclocephala, pollinators of the studied plant taxa. Also, it is a metabolite of the drug Clomethiazolum (C587020), a sedative, hypnotic, muscle relaxant and anticonvulsant.
