Descrição:2-tert-Butyl-1,3-benzoxazole is an organic compound that belongs to the group of benzoxazoles. It can be synthesized by a variety of methods, including oxidative coupling of 2-tert-butylbenzothiazole with benzene or 1,2-dibromobenzene, or by the intramolecular cross-coupling reaction between 2-(2'-hydroxyphenyl)benzothiazole and methyl iodide. The compound has been shown to be an excellent ligand for palladium(II). This ligand can be used in asymmetric synthesis strategies to generate optimal yields of benzoxazoles from simple starting materials.
