Informação sobre produto
Corazonin is a neurosecretory peptide hormone that is activated by the hypothalamus and released into the bloodstream. It has been shown to have physiological effects on energy metabolism, protein synthesis, and transcriptional regulation. Corazonin lowers the metabolic rate and decreases camp levels in insects, which are both important for regulating metabolism. In mammals, corazonin has been shown to increase locomotor activity, although it does not have any effect on carboxy terminal amines or other physiological functions.
Infectious diseases such as malaria can be treated with corazonin because of its receptor activity. This drug binds to specific receptors in the brain and causes fever-like symptoms that help kill the malaria parasite.
