4-Phenoxy-2,2'-dichloroacetophenone is a monomer that is used in inorganic polymerization. It initiates the polymerization by absorbing light and causing the formation of free radicals. This monomer is also used to initiate photopolymerization. 4-Phenoxy-2,2'-dichloroacetophenone can be used as a cross-linking agent for organic polymers, such as ethylenic polymers. It also reacts with organic solvents to form a solid product.
