Trifluoroethanol (TFE) is a chemical compound that is used in the manufacture of ethylene oxide and other chemicals. It has a boiling point of 53 degrees Celsius and can be distilled under vacuum. It is also used as an intermediate for the synthesis of polymers such as polyacrylates, polymethacrylates, and copolymers with carboxylates or acrylates.
