Cytochrome P450 14a-demethylase inhibitor 1E (CYP14A1) is a peptide that inhibits CYP14A1, which catalyzes the demethylation of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone. This inhibitor is used as a research tool for studying protein interactions, antibody production and cell biology. It has been shown to be an antagonist of GABAA receptors in vitro and in vivo.
