Informação sobre produto
N-Decanoyl-DL-homoserine lactone is a natural product that is produced by many bacteria. It has been shown to be an inhibitor of bacterial growth when used as a sole carbon source for Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. N-Decanoyl-DL-homoserine lactone has been shown to have a number of physiological activities, such as the ability to stimulate growth in E. coli, inhibit the production of hydrogen peroxide in E. coli, and inhibit the activity of the enzyme β-galactosidase in E. coli. This molecule also affects gene expression in wild type strains but not mutant strains.
