Histone acetyltransferase inhibitor II is a histone acetyltransferase (HAT) inhibitor that is used in the treatment of cancer. It inhibits cellular transformation and tumor growth by binding to the polymerase chain, which prevents DNA synthesis and transcription. Histone Acetyltransferase Inhibitor II has been shown to have anti-cancer activity in a number of animal models of cancer, including gliomas and breast cancers. The drug also has an anti-inflammatory effect on the body, which may be due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis. This drug is not potent enough to be used as a chemotherapeutic agent alone but can be added to other treatments for more effectiveness.
