5-Carbamoylmethyl-2'-O-methyluridine is a nucleoside analog that inhibits the synthesis of proteins by inhibiting the translation process. It has been shown to be effective against tuberculosis and other mycobacterial diseases. 5-Carbamoylmethyl-2'-O-methyluridine binds to the ribosomal RNA, preventing protein synthesis and causing cell death.
