The drug has been shown to be effective against locomotor activity, symptoms of Parkinson's disease, and rotarod tests on mice. 4'-tert-Butyl-4-chlorobutyrophenone is used as a pharmaceutical drug for treating symptoms of Parkinson's disease such as tremors.
