YHO-13351 is a drug transporter that belongs to the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter family. It functions as an efflux pump for some drugs, including platinum-based chemotherapy agents. YHO-13351 is expressed in solid tumours and has been shown to be effective against cancer cells in vitro. This drug transporter has also been shown to inhibit cell viability through the disruption of mitochondrial membrane potential and the induction of apoptosis. YHO-13351 may have a more potent effect on cancer cells than other ABC transporters because it is expressed at higher levels in these cells and can transport drugs with lower affinity.
