(±)-Liponsäure, auch bekannt als Thioctsäure, ist eine natürlich vorkommende Verbindung, die eine entscheidende Rolle in der mitochondrialen Bioenergetik spielt und als Cofaktor für mehrere Enzymkomplexe fungiert, die am Energiestoffwechsel beteiligt sind.
