Beschreibung:
Apixaban ist ein orales Antikoagulans, das hauptsächlich zur Prävention und Behandlung von thromboembolischen Erkrankungen wie tiefer Venenthrombose und Lungenembolie eingesetzt wird. Es wirkt als selektiver Inhibitor von Faktor Xa, einem wesentlichen Enzym in der Gerinnungskaskade, und reduziert somit die Bildung von Blutgerinnseln. Apixaban zeichnet sich durch eine hohe Bioverfügbarkeit, einen schnellen Wirkungseintritt und eine vorhersehbare Pharmakokinetik aus, die eine feste Dosierung ohne routinemäßige Überwachung der Gerinnungsparameter ermöglicht.
