Beschreibung:
Hyoscin, auch bekannt als Scopolamin, ist ein Tropanalkaloid mit der chemischen Formel C17H21NO4. Es wird aus Pflanzen der Familie der Nachtschattengewächse, insbesondere aus der Tollkirsche, gewonnen. Hyoscin zeichnet sich durch seine anticholinergen Eigenschaften aus, was bedeutet, dass es die Wirkung von Acetylcholin, einem Neurotransmitter, der an verschiedenen Körperfunktionen beteiligt ist, hemmt. Diese Verbindung wird häufig in der Medizin zur Behandlung von Reisekrankheit, Übelkeit und zur Induktion von Sedierung vor einer Operation eingesetzt.
