Amantadinhydrochlorid ist eine synthetische Verbindung, die hauptsächlich als antivirales Medikament und als antiparkinsonisches Mittel verwendet wird. Es wird als Adamantan-Derivat klassifiziert und weist eine einzigartige Struktur auf, die durch ein bicyclisches Gerüst gekennzeichnet ist. Die Substanz ist ein weißes bis off-white kristallines Pulver, das in Wasser löslich ist und einen pH-Bereich aufweist, der typischerweise neutral bis leicht sauer ist.
