S-(+)-Glycidyl tosylate is a cross-linking agent that can be used in the preparation of polymers. It has been shown to react with epoxides and hydroxyl groups, but not with hydroxy groups. S-(+)-Glycidyl tosylate is also considered a nucleophilic reagent that reacts with nucleophiles such as amines, alcohols, and thiols. This product is an enantiomer of racemic glycidyl tosylate, which is a reaction intermediate for the synthesis of epoxy resins. The use of this product may lead to the production of hard and brittle materials due to its ability to form strong covalent bonds.
