Beschreibung:
Omeprazol ist ein Protonenpumpenhemmer (PPI), der hauptsächlich zur Behandlung von Erkrankungen wie der gastroösophagealen Refluxkrankheit (GERD) und peptischen Geschwüren eingesetzt wird, indem die Produktion von Magensäure reduziert wird. Es handelt sich um ein weißes bis schwach weißes kristallines Pulver, das leicht in Wasser und besser in organischen Lösungsmitteln löslich ist. Die chemische Formel von Omeprazol lautet C17H19N3O3S, und es hat ein Molekulargewicht von etwa 345,42 g/mol. Omeprazol wirkt, indem es das H+/K+ ATPase-Enzym in den Belegzellen des Magens irreversibel hemmt, was zu einer verringerten Magensäuresekretion führt.
