Formamid, mit der CAS-Nummer 75-12-7, ist eine einfache Amide, die aus Ameisensäure abgeleitet ist. Es ist eine farblose, viskose Flüssigkeit, die hygroskopisch ist und einen schwachen Geruch hat.
