Beschreibung:
Algininsäure, mit der CAS-Nummer 9005-32-7, ist ein natürlich vorkommendes Polysaccharid, das aus den Zellwänden von Braunalgen, insbesondere von Arten wie Laminaria und Ascophyllum, gewonnen wird. Es besteht aus zwei monomeren Einheiten, Mannuronsäure und Guluronsäure, die durch β-1,4-glykosidische Bindungen verbunden sind.
